Visitors Pott Shrigley won the toss and batted first on what started as a drizzle day at DHCC.
Dove picked up early wickets reducing the visitors to 56-7 and then 90-9. Dove however couldn’t get the final wicket and were set 130 to chase. Gilbride and Critchlow with 3 wickets a piece.
In reply and in the sunshine the Dove openers put on 88 for the first wicket. Jones was run out for 45 but Gilbride hit 59 not out and Tom Forder, on return from injury, hit 27 not out as Dove reached the target for the loss of 1 wicket.
SECOND TEAM | DIVISION THREE
Old Glossop 171-7 v Dove Holes 173-7
Dove win by 3 wickets (16Pts)
Unbeaten Dove travelled to Old Glossop and the hosts batted first in a 33 overs game. Cory Flint 3-47 was once again pick of the bowlers as the hosts reached 171-7.
In a thrilling reply, skipper Mark Vernon 33 and Mark Turner 37 set up the run chase. Regular wickets kept the game in the balance but lower order hitting from Dan Walker 38 and 17 not out from Kieran Collins saw Dove reach the target 7 wickets down and with just 10 balls spare.
