Dove Holes win by 10 wickets
Dove Holes travelled to Broady which was looking in good condition as usual- despite being under cloudy skies. Grego won the toss and put Broady into bat.
Dove put on a great early display- Gilly trapped the big wicket of Walshy lbw for the first wicket. Crich then picked up a couple before Gemmell took a nice catch off Gilly at slip to dismiss Brotherton.
Eggbert then justified his selection swooping at square leg to run out the oversea- followed by crich getting the skipper caught by Bren for 1. At 21-6 Broady then put on a bit of a partnership with Dawson and Gull and a few extras… Gemmell taking one to the Crown Jewels in tribute to the king.
Gilly then bowled Gull after a long delay and crich cleaned up Dawson for 21. Crich took another bring up his Michelle and carter took 999 but not before Croft hit him for a huge 6. Broady finishing on 82.
Dove opened with Gilly and Baggy hoping to make quick work with rain looking likely. These 2 batted really well both finishing not out baggy with 33 and Gilly 18.

Division Two
Dove Holes 80/4 v Stalybridge 125-6 dec
Rain affected draw
Dove Holes 2nds welcomed Stalybridge to a damp Hallsteads in their first home game of the season. Captain Mark Hill won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Openers Stephen Green and Ted Johnson started well picking up a wicket a piece with the aforementioned Green even breaking a bail on home debut! before being rained off for the first time.
After returning to the field, the opening pair once again picked up a wicket a piece putting dove firmly on top. However, some lacklustre fielding led dove to slip and the visitors were 125-6 with a solid 50 from the Stalybridge keeper. The first innings was then declared by the visiting skipper due to the poor weather conditions.
After the break, Wayne Collins got the home side started with a good 23 which was then built on by Rob Hawkes who batted until the end scoring a solid 36 and getting Dove a draw and 10 points.
The New Bodies Gym man of the match was Rob Hawkes.
