It is with great sadness that Dove Holes Cricket Club have learnt of the passing Alan “Johnno” Johnson he will be missed not just in Buxworth but throughout the Derbyshire and Cheshire cricketing fraternity.
He was a top class player as well as the most loyal clubman and a great character both on and off the field. He was a highly regarded umpire and well respected leader on the league committee for many years.
Rest in Peace Johnno.
